Where's the best place to shop for cars in Bangkok? Why, in the shopping mall of course! More specifically, in Siam Paragon.

Bhutan, here I come!

The idea of a Bhutan holiday came about when my colleague was suppose to go there for work. Such an intriguing county/culture. I even got this Bhutan book for my birthday.

Bhutan

But due to the very government controlled tourism, this is the most expensive holiday I've ever had to pay for! THB 66,000 for a 5-day trip. At least I know my money will be going to the development of the country, not into some corporate con's pockets.

Will update if the trip is worth it or not. Tune in next week!

Oh... and HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, DAD!

Trends

Trends are everything here. Once you get a new trend, you'll see it everywhere you go. Remember the "I'm not a plastic bag" trend? Well, now you can send that same environmental message on your dog!

Ko Samet

Ko Samet is just about 3 hours away from Bangkok by bus. A nice beach within reach of the city centre, a perfect getaway for the weekend.

A view from under the umbrella. Blue skies, clear waters... ahhh...

If you wake up really early, you can see the sunrise. I got up at 5.30am, and its already bright! The sun was up. But covered with some clouds. What a wasted effort...

You can rent a boat to bring you around the island. We got the boat to see the sunset, and then drop us off at a cool place for nice dinner.

Sunset was also kinda cloudy

Then you get to have a nice lovely night sitting on the peer and chilling out.

Sunday Brunch

Sunday brunch is such a sophisticated sounding thing to do. And indeed it is... for a price that is. For about THB 2,000 per person, you get to have brunch at the Bangkok Marriott Resort and Spa, overlooking the Chao Phraya river.

Getting there is easy. There's a free boat taxi to bring you across the river directly to the resort. Click here to find out how to get there.

cheese

All the cheese you can eat, with names you cant pronounce

Needless to say, food is of excellent quality! Quantity counts too. Choices are just too many - from cheese to barbeque to fresh oyster to Indian and Japanese. There's even truffles if you'd like to give it a go (just don't have too high expectations on it).

truffles

Yes, its real truffles!

There's even a good selection of wine and cocktails. Yeap, I had wine from morning to afternoon! No,Iamnotadrunkard...

And dessert... mouth watering!
