Too bad, it says this in my apartment agreement....

"9. The Lessee is not permitted to keep any article of a dangerous, inflammable or explosive character that increases the danger of fire in the rental premises and the premises of the apartment. No condition that creates a fire hazard (including plants) maybe kept in the rental premises. For safety reasons the Lessee is not allowed to keep or use LPG gas in the building, this includes cooking stoves of any kind."

and

"10.1 No animals or pets of any kind may be kept within the rental premises or on the premeses of the apartment. The Lessee is prohibited from keeping plants, potted or otherwise, within the rental premises."
